Product Info

  • Uses

Generic Nolvadex is prescribed to treat the most common (invasive) type of breast cancer after chemical treatment and/or surgery, as well as for prevention of this disease in a high-risk group. It can also be used as a post-surgery or post-chemo treatment for women with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS or intraductal carcinoma) - a less common type of breast cancer.

Women that have had ductal carcinoma in situ have a higher risk of having the invasive breast cancer, which Tamoxifen is able to prevent in 50% of cases. The medication can also be used to stimulate ovulation.

  • How to take

Generic Nolvadex should be taken strictly as prescribed by the physician, with or without food. Long term use (over 2 years) is recommended.

  • Side effects

Common side effects of taking Generic Nolvadex include: hot flashes, abnormal menstrual periods, weight increase and nausea.

  • Precautions

Notify your medical specialist of your entire medical history, especially: sight problems, blood diseases, liver or kidney disorders, allergies (especially medical). It is recommended to use proven barrier methods of birth control while taking the medication and at least for two months afterwards.

  • Drug interactions

Patients taking Generic Nolvadex must have their blood circulation activity monitored, as it may cause abnormalities during liver and other blood tests. Report all side effects immediately, especially bleeding and yellow-colored skin.

  • Missed dose

If you have missed your dose of Generic Nolvadex, make sure to take it as soon as possible. However, two doses should never be taken at the same time, so if the time for the next dose has almost come, DO NOT take the dose you have missed.
